PRESS RELEASE
TORONTO,
CANADA, December 19, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Passion Campaign is
an awareness initiative developed on the belief that the people, small
businesses and corporations of the Greater Toronto Area have no limits when it
comes to their generosity in supporting the needs of the homeless, less
fortunate or working poor in our great city.
While we are launching this awareness campaign during the holiday period, the
main purpose is to raise awareness of the plight of these individuals all year
round. However, it is at this particular time of year that their needs are at
their greatest.
The Passion Campaign has identified thirteen charitable organizations whose
primary focus is to help those in need without regard to their creed, religion,
colour or any other identifying attributes. Here is a list of the thirteen
charity organizations that will benefit from your support of The Passion
Campaign ; "Helping feed the homeless and less fortunate every day"
(in Alphabetical order)
Evangel Hall Mission; Fred Victor Centre; Good Neighbours Club; Good Shepherd
Ministries; Mustard Seed Sisters of St Joseph; Sanctuary; Scott Mission; Second
Base Youth Shelter Scarborough; St. John the Compassionate Mission; St.
Christopher House; The Salvation Army Corps 614; Toronto Christian Resource
Centre; Yonge Street Mission
PRESS CONFERENCE FOR all MEDIA: Thursday, December 11, at 9:30 am, at National

The Passion Campaign is creating awareness by supporting 13 charitable
organizations that are on the frontline for feeding the hungry, cold, poor and
homeless living on Toronto streets. At http://www.thepassioncampaign.ca; you'll
be introduced to thirteen grass-roots charities, dedicated to helping those
most vulnerable and in need.
When you purchase The Passion Campaign calendar, you donate directly to the
charities that touch your heart. Purchase The Passion Campaign calendar as a
reminder that people need help all year long.
100% of all The Passion Campaign Calendar sales goes directly to the list of
charities. Show your compassion. Visit http://www.thepassioncampaign.ca today
or call 416-618-8776 to make a donation that will make a difference.
The Passion Campaign is based on the presumption that all people are equal and
deserve to be treated as such, without regard to their socio-economic standing
in the community. It is our core belief that the individuals that we propose to
support deserve compassion, empathy and understanding, not sympathy.
The initial phase of the campaign involves the selling of 5,000 calendars at a
cost of $15.00 per calendar. The purchaser of the calendar will be able to
allocate 100% of the entire purchase price to the charity of their choosing.
These calendars have all been professionally produced and show beautiful scenes
from across Canada.
The Passion Campaign has been created by Mr. Donald (Don) W. Bremner with the
support of his group of companies Restoration Environmental Contractors (REC),
REC Demolition REC Disaster and Abcott Construction. These companies have
generously underwritten all the costs of production to ensure that the maximum
amount of support is directed to the individuals who need support through the
charities noted above.
We would also like to thank the following individuals who have so unselfishly
and with open hearts either contributed their time, products, services or
support for the good of the campaign; Keith Levit of Keith Levit Photography,
Reverend Andrew Allan of Toronto Christian Resource Centre / Regent Park ,
Teresa Rolt of Trolt Creativity by Design, Superior Printing & Litho Inc.
and Gary Dumbleton Web Design.
Our only desire is that this "awareness initiative" succeeds and
provides the support that is so desperately needed during these tough economic
times.
We look forward to your support in helping us raise the awareness of the needs
of the less fortunate, the homeless, and the poor people of GTA.
Together with your help and support, we can all help make a difference.
We are also donating a total of 3,000 jars of organic peanut butter to be
divided between the thirteen charities listed, and the Markham, Brantford and
Toronto Daily Food Banks, thanks to Dwight and Philip Dehne of Nutco Inc.
"We would especially like to truly thank all our loyal customers for their
support. Of course, a special thanks to all our dedicated employees and
partners, whom work safely every day, they are some of the most innovative and
talented in the construction, demolition, environmental remediation
industry" states Don. Bremner was the former Owner of The Markham Waxers
Junior "A" Hockey Club from 1994-2005. Don founded his company with
only $80.00 and a dream.
The Passion Campaign Calendars will be available at each charities location by
